(1) Contract: Maintenance of a website begins when a contract for twelve months of service is signed by the client.

A minimum of 30 minutes will be spent each month checking links, backing up the site and its database, updating software, passwords, user accounts, plugins, and search engine optimization, monitoring the firewall and spamming/hacking attempts, and overseeing the client's hosting account and domain registration and/or the site's connections with social media and newsletter signup options if desired. The contract also includes annual installation of the SSL certificate for site security, although the cost of the certificate itself is the client's responsibility.

The fee for a year is $192.

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time in writing.

(2) Checkup Plan: Blackbird Studio can check your site once a year for WordPress and plugin updates, site backups, compatible software on the server, and installation of the SSL certificate (plus reimbursable cost of the certificate). The site will be evaluated at no charge, and a work order will be agreed upon by both parties before work begins. The cost will depend on the scope of the work.
